Adopt-A-Book Program
|
The Board of Trustees for
the Bunker Hill Public Library District is pleased to introduce the
Adopt A Book Program. You
may choose to adopt any book in the current library collection.
When you adopt the book, a special certificate will be placed in
the front cover of the book.
The certificate will display the adopter’s name, along with space
for a brief message. The book will remain “yours” as long as the book is
shelved at the library.
Should your adopted book be retired from the library collection, you
will have the opportunity to keep the book for your own collection at
home. In addition, a
Certificate of Adoption will be mailed to you.
This program is the perfect opportunity to give a gift that will
be opened again and again!
Anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, gifts for teachers, in
remembrance of a friend or loved one, or as a commemorative for other
special occasions and holidays are only a few good reasons to adopt a
book. What better way to
honor someone than with one of their favorite books?
The cost to adopt a book is $15 for each children’s book, and $20 for each adult book. All proceeds benefit the building fund for the future library addition.
To adopt a book please direct questions to Trista Manar, Board Secretary, at 618.635.9066 or by email at tristamanar@yahoo.com. Forms will also be available at the circulation desk in the library.
Books are the treasured wealth of the world and the
fit inheritance of generations and nations. -----Henry David Thoreau. |
